Do you love almond butter? I know I do, this homemade almond butter is perfect for topping pancakes, mixed into oats, baked into cookies, or just eating it on it’s own with a spoon! For some reason I always assumed making homemade nut butters would be messy and time consuming but that’s far from the case. Now I’ll NEVER purchase those $10 jars from the grocery store ever again!
Nut butter is such a great snack to eat because it’s so versatile. Eat it with carrots, celery, pita bread, or whatever you please!
This is a one bowl recipe, and you guys know how I feel about my one bowl recipes! (I ADORE THEM) – all you have to do is put the almonds into a food processor or high-speed blender (I use my favorite blender The Boss by Breville) and viola, easy delicious almond butter! The most tedious part of this recipe is just the fact that at times you may have to stop and scrape down the sides.
Not only is almond butter delicious but it has amazing health benefits. Nut are extremely beneficial to any diet; but almonds in particular are PACKED with calcium, copper, vitamin E, and magnesium. Since almond butter has about 18 grams of fat per serving, which is primarily unsaturated fatty acids.
